With designated hitter Qu-bing Ci leading the charge, the Phoenix Lights defeated the San Antonio Storm Troopers, 8-5, at UFO Field. Ci, who was drafted in the three round of the 2025 draft, was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. With the win, Phoenix goes to 3-3.

Phoenix pinch hitter Wilson Ortíz changed the game in the bottom of the seventh when he belted a 3-run home run off Cody Ladd. His 1st home run of the season gave Phoenix a 6-4 lead.

"We swung the bats pretty good throughout the lineup," said Phoenix skipper Rod Allen.
