The Boise Hawks buried the Long Island Ducks, 12-0, under a barrage of hits. Carlos López led the onslaught, going 2-for-4 for Boise. Alejandro Román closed it out for his 1st save. The Hawks, now 1-2, have not found much traction so far in 2028.

One critical moment came with two down in the top of the fifth. With the bases loaded and the Ducks trailing 9-0, Po-sin Pang retired Dwayne Pickwell with a good fastball. Pickwell grounded out.
