Donovan, Hellcats Rough Up Enforcers
|
The Jacksonville Hellcats clobbered the Atlantic City Enforcers, 12-3, at Hellcats Park today. Jacksonville right fielder Jason Donovan was named player of the game for his productive day. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Kane Wright got the win, improving to 14-13. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 12 and walking 1. With the win, Jacksonville goes to 76-86, while the Enforcers fall to 55-107.
Donovan contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the second. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Jacksonville get the win.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Jacksonville manager Pete Dellow.
