Donovan Helps Hellcats Beat Enforcers
|
Behind a solid performance from right fielder Jason Donovan, the Jacksonville Hellcats defeated the Atlantic City Enforcers, 8-3. Donovan went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Hellcats. John Curnew earned the win for Jacksonville. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 8 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 4-0. Jacksonville is 5th in the Alexander Cartwright League Pirate Parrot League with a record of 75-86.
Donovan had a key at-bat for Jacksonville early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 16th double of the season and gave Jacksonville an early 4-1 lead.
