Multi-HR Game for Anderson in 8-1 Win
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 33-year old left fielder Clarence Anderson, the Silicon Valley Hackers stopped the Newark Jail Birds, 8-1. Today's win puts Silicon Valley at 86-76, while Newark falls to 40-122.
Shigochiyo Sato was a key contributor to the win for the Hackers. In the bottom of the eighth with two out, the light-hitting second baseman stroked a home run to right. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Silicon Valley Hackers manager Bob Miller.
