The Riverside Red Bulls defeated the Sioux Falls Trojans, 8-1, in Alexander Cartwright League action at Trojans Park, with Riverside first baseman Fred Constant named player of the game. The win was credited to Robert Avila in relief. His record improves to 14-3. Alain Picard took the loss. The Red Bulls improved to a lofty 113-45.

Going deep for Riverside was Lorenzo Castillo. The catcher had a 3-run home run in the top of the first for the Red Bulls. It put his team ahead, 3-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Castillo went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Barry Miller.
