Late Rally by Danger Seals 4th Straight Win
|
Manhattan Beach right fielder José Contreras was sensational. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Duke City beat the Patriots, 5-4. Contreras was named the player of the game despite the loss. Duke City has now won 4 games in a row.
Both teams had trouble scoring runs. So, Cristo Morán's at-bat in the top of the eighth was huge. With one out, the Duke City catcher hit a 3-run home run, to give his team a 5-2 lead.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Duke City manager Jorge Morales.
