Shojiro Nakayama was superb against Atlantic City. The right-hander, who is tied for 4th in the ACL in wins with 13, had a curveball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 5-3 Wolves victory. Nakayama, now 13-4, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 10, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run. Juan Quezada picked up the save, his 5th.

In the top of the fifth, Zhu Thum took a curveball from Jin-song Ouyang and pounded a 2-run home run to right. It put Lake of the Isles on top, 3-1. For the game, Thum was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Thum told the Lake of the Isles Chronicle.
