Despite a fine performance by right fielder Man-yoon Kim, the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats suffered a 13-12 loss to the Frisco Rams. Kim was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Frisco reliever Ramiro Espinoza picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Jim Unknown took the loss. Frisco has now won 3 straight, while the Beetlecats have lost 3 in a row.

The Rams were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when pinch hitter Lyndon Blackman turned a 0-1 fastball from Jim Unknown into a 3-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Frisco a thrilling 13-12 win.

Buzzard's Bay manager Roberto Núñez said he was disappointed with the loss. "Whenever you score in double digits, you expect to win the game."
