Wolves Best Jail Birds in Pitching Duel
|
The Lake of the Isles Wolves got a magnificent performance from pitcher Julien Martin, who muffled the Newark offense en route to a tight 2-1 Wolves win at The Den. Juan Quezada was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 5 save opportunities. With the win, Lake of the Isles has a record of 73-82. Newark falls to 39-116.
Jim Burgess contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the second. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a sacrifice fly. It was one at-bat that helped Lake of the Isles get the win.
