Multi-HR Game for Morales in 5-4 Win
|
In a close game at Hellcats Park, the Jacksonville Hellcats edged the Pacifica Shamrocks, 5-4. Jacksonville first baseman Octávio Morales earned the nod as player of the game. He was 2-2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Jacksonville reliever Cipriano Sousa picked up the win to move to 1-0. Pascal Leroy suffered the loss. Jacksonville has now won 3 straight, while the Shamrocks have lost 3 in a row.
Morales contributed when he hit a 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. Coming with no outs and a runner on 2nd, the home run proved to be critical to helping Jacksonville get the win.
