Wolves Come Up Short at Temple
Lake of the Isles first baseman Zhu Thum had a terrific game. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Temple beat the Wolves, 7-6. Thum was named the player of the game despite the loss. Nathan Briggs earned the save for Temple, his 1st. The 5th-place Goers have won 4 in a row.

One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the sixth inning. Facing Lake of the Isles hurler Serge Dupré, Alfie Canham hit a sacrifice fly. The Goers went on to win.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Canham, "but we could've played better."
