Beetlecats Subdue Silicon Valley, 5-3

Buzzard's Bay third baseman Willi Gürsel was instrumental in his team's 5-3 win over the Silicon Valley Hackers. Gürsel went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Beetlecats. The Silicon Valley losing streak has now reached 4 games.
The Buzzard's Bay win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Jim Banks. In the top of the fourth, the Buzzard's Bay right fielder came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 2-1 lead.
"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Buzzard's Bay skipper Roberto Núñez. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
