López Impressive in Newark Win
|
Killeen had no answer for Newark Jail Birds hurler Dani López, who overwhelmed Black Knights hitters as the Jail Birds coasted to a 6-1 victory. The last-place Jail Birds lifted their record to 38-113.
López, the winner, is now 5-17. In 7 innings of work, he gave up no earned runs on 2 hits, while collecting 5 Ks. He basically put the clamps on the Killeen offense.
"We're all smiles after that win," López told the Newark Chronicle.
