Red Bulls Stymie Silicon Valley, Take 5-1 Win
The Riverside Red Bulls went home winners at Red Bull Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Jay Till. Till silenced the Silicon Valley Hackers, enabling Riverside to grab the 5-1 win. Till, the winner, moves to 7-7. He threw 6 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 4 walks. Allen Blair notched his 18th save in 21 chances.

The Red Bulls beat the Hackers in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out double Jesús Solís produced in the bottom of the fourth. Batting against Silicon Valley pitcher Ding-bong Fong, Solís gave his team a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run double.

"Jay's tempo and rhythm were good," said Riverside Red Bulls manager Joe Ward. "He was the key to us winning."

The Red Bulls improved to a lofty 106-43.
