Hellcats Pin 4-1 Loss on Beetlecats

Jacksonville and Buzzard's Bay duked it out at Bloomfield Road and the Hellcats came out victorious.
The Jacksonville Hellcats got a good effort from starter John Curnew in defeating the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats at Bloomfield Road. The final score was 4-1. Noriaki Ine finished to wrap up his 10th save.
In the top of the seventh, Jacksonville shortstop Steven Wrottesley had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Buzzard's Bay hurler Emmanuel Even, Wrottesley drew a walk, driving in 1 run. That made the score 3-1, Jacksonville. For the day, Wrottesley was 1 for 4 with a walk.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Jacksonville manager Pete Dellow. "It's usually not just one thing."
Jacksonville is now 66-84, while Buzzard's Bay is 93-57.
