Man-yoon Kim was the difference-maker for the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats in what turned into a shootout with the Lake of the Isles Wolves. Kim earned the player of the game award after going 2-for-3 in the 14-9 Beetlecats win. Buzzard's Bay occupies second place in the Alexander Cartwright League Bernie Brewer Division at 91-56.

Luca Smithin contributed to the Buzzard's Bay win. The 24-year old shortstop stroked a bases-clearing triple in the top of the first. For the game, Smithin was 2 for 5 with a triple and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," Smithin said.
