The Frisco Rams knocked off the Silicon Valley Hackers, 5-2, at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Dave Lister, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Frisco won. The designated hitter went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Earning his 9th save of the year was Rainer Waldheim. The Rams have an impressive 90-55 record.

With no one out in the top of the first, José Gracía hit a go-ahead run-scoring triple. It was his 6th triple of the season and with it the Rams took a 1-0 lead.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Lister, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
