In a low-scoring clash between Las Vegas and San Diego, pitcher Pedro Medina was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Las Vegas in the 3-1 win. Medina went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-3. Bernalldo Rocchi closed it out for his 6th save.

In the bottom of the second inning of a 0-0 tie, Las Vegas second baseman Pat Thompson grounded out, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Las Vegas on top, 1-0.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Medina told the Las Vegas Chronicle.

Las Vegas now sits in third place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division at 18-16.
