Yamada drives in 5 runs, Leads Defenders to Win
It was a good time at North Shore Park, where fans came to watch the Silicon Valley Hackers and West Coast Defenders get after it.

The West Coast Defenders topped the Silicon Valley Hackers, 12-5, with youngster Harumi Yamada playing a key role. Yamada went 2-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 for the Defenders in the win. The win was Li-zhu Shi's in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Ding-bong Fong took the loss for Silicon Valley.

In the bottom of the third with two out, the Defenders were let down by their defense. With West Coast leading 5-3, Yamada hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It could have been more costly, but the Defenders were able to get the win.

"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Yamada.

West Coast has now won 3 straight, while the Hackers have lost 3 in a row.
