Killeen got a terrific game from catcher Stéphane Blanchard. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Riverside, 7-6. Blanchard was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Julian Fanner got the win, improving to 14-5. He worked 6 innings, giving up 6 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 1. The Red Bulls improve their record to 99-40 with the win over Killeen.

Also pitching for Riverside was first baseman Fred Constant, who hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, Constant was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Constant, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
