8-4 Hitmen Win over Sasquatch Evens Season Record
|
Chicago and Seattle met at SouthSide Park in front of a lively crowd.
Chicago right-hander Jacob Willard made an effective start against the Seattle Sasquatch at SouthSide Park, leading his team to a 8-4 win. The winning pitcher was Willard, now 4-2. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5.
The Hitmen took the lead, 6-4, in the bottom of the sixth. Javier Ortíz had the clutch at-bat. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ortíz told the Chicago Herald.
Chicago is 4th in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division with a record of 18-18.
