Patriots Lose to Danger, 5-4
|
Duke City starter Rahmad Bintang turned in a competent performance at Stars & Stripes Stadium as his team beat Manhattan Beach, 5-4. Bintang, now 3-4, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 3 earned runs. Carlos Núñes, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 11th save.
Cristo Morán played a key role in the win. The Duke City catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first. For the game, Morán was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Morán told the Duke City Daily.
Today's win puts Duke City at 16-20, while Manhattan Beach falls to 22-13.
