Losing Streak Continues for Jail Birds with 6-4 Loss
|
Ron Colbert helped his team muscle past the Newark Jail Birds, 6-4. In the game, the Pacifica left fielder was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Pascal Leroy picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-2. Dani López was tagged with the loss. The Jail Birds have now dropped 9 straight.
Si-dao Chi's at-bat in the top of the third inning was a big one for Pacifica. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Pacifica leading 1-0, the right fielder drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager António Gómez, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
