Silver Stars for Defenders in 9-6 Win
|
A 6-RBI performance from right fielder Steve Silver, who is tied for 10th in the ACL in RBI with 79, led the West Coast Defenders to a 9-6 win over the Atlantic City Enforcers. The 4th-place Defenders are now 59-68, the Enforcers 40-86.
Silver had a consequential at-bat in the top of the fifth for the Defenders. Coming up with the bases loaded and West Coast trailing 5-4, he hit a grand slam.
"They played a better game than we did," said Atlantic City skipper Warren Barnes.
