Red Bulls Snatch Late Win
|
The Riverside Red Bulls got a magnificent performance from pitcher Jay Till, who stifled the Pacifica offense en route to a 2-1 Red Bulls win at McCormick Field. Allen Blair was called on to finish, recording his 12th save. The Red Bulls improved to a lofty 90-35.
Tied up with the Shamrocks in the top of the fourth, the Red Bulls got a boost from first baseman Fred Constant. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Constant saw a 1-2 changeup from Iván Cabrera and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Riverside on top, 1-0.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Till.
