Oshima goes 3-for-4 in Defenders Win
|
The West Coast Defenders stymied the Temple Goers, 5-2, at North Shore Park. Yoshiaga Oshima, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 3-4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for West Coast. West Coast is now 57-65, Temple 54-65.
Oshima had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the second, when he hit a grand slam. The Defenders went on to win.
"I felt we were ready to go," said West Coast manager John Griffin. "Our pregame was pretty good."
