Loss to Hellcats Extends Newark Losing Streak
|
Jacksonville Hellcats starter Josh Richard turned in a top-notch performance against the Newark Jail Birds at Hellcats Park. The result was a win for the Hellcats, 5-1. Kawanari Uchida earned the save for Jacksonville, his 11th of the year. The Jail Birds have now dropped 6 straight.
Eduardo Rosário played a key role in the win. The Jacksonville pinch hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, Rosário was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Newark skipper António Gómez.
