The Lake of the Isles Wolves turned back the Newark Jail Birds, 10-9, at Cobras Ballpark. Hoffman Baal was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The Wolves have now won 4 straight.

Baal hit a grand slam home run in the top of the third to help the Lake of the Isles cause. The home run, which was hit off Lou Bates, allowed Lake of the Isles to take a 6-2 lead.

"Ugly win or not, we'll take it," said Baal.
