|
Lake of the Isles Wolves starter Dan Lewis was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Newark Jail Birds, 4-3. Lake of the Isles reliever Yee Kuang was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Munemori Abe took the loss for Newark. Lake of the Isles's record now stands at 52-64, placing them 5th in the Alexander Cartwright League Bernie Brewer Division.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out, Zhu Thum hit a 1-0 circle change from Munemori Abe for a solo home run. It put Lake of the Isles in front, 4-3.
"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Brad Johnson.
