Red Bulls Prevail, 4-2, Over Frisco
|
The Riverside Red Bulls stymied the Frisco Rams, 4-2, at Outlander Park. Tsunayoshi Ito, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Riverside. Riverside reliever Yosai Suzuki got the win, raising his record to 3-2. Ronaldo Teves was tagged with the loss. Allen Blair, credited with the save, is now 8 for 10 in save opportunities.
Had Baber Khan not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Khan hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Red Bulls.
"I like what I saw today," said Riverside manager Joe Ward, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
The first-place Red Bulls have won 4 straight.
