Fanner Leads Riverside Past Silicon Valley
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the Riverside Red Bulls and Silicon Valley Hackers clash at San Jose Municipal Stadium.
The Riverside Red Bulls got a superb performance from pitcher Julian Fanner, who shut out the Silicon Valley Hackers, 7-0. At 80-31, the Red Bulls find themselves in first place in the Alexander Cartwright League Pirate Parrot League.
Fanner tossed 95 pitches over 8 innings to clinch the win for the Red Bulls. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits, while racking up 9 strikeouts in the game.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Riverside manager Joe Ward.
