In a close game at Bloomfield Road, the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats edged the Killeen Black Knights, 4-3. Buzzard's Bay catcher José Hernández earned the nod as player of the game. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Hidekazu Komatsu closed it out for his 24th save. Buzzard's Bay is first in the Alexander Cartwright League Bernie Brewer Division with a record of 66-39.
It could have been a different outcome for Buzzard's Bay, had it not been for Yasunari Sato, the 25-year old left fielder . Sato contributed a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the sixth inning to put Buzzard's Bay up, 4-3.
