Rams Reel Off Another Win
|
Fans at Hellcats Park were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Jacksonville Hellcats take on the Frisco Rams.
Despite a great performance by Jacksonville shortstop Steven Wrottesley, the Frisco Rams defeated the Hellcats by the score of 6-4 at Hellcats Park. Wrottesley was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. Ambrosius Mair, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. Rainer Waldheim locked down his 4th save.
One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the top of the eighth inning. Facing Jacksonville hurler George Peck, Dave Lister hit a sacrifice fly. The Rams went on to win.
"We feel like we're going to win every game right now," said Frisco skipper Enrique Ramírez.
The Rams have now won 8 straight.
