Rin Powers Defenders to 7-4 Win
|
The West Coast Defenders beat the Lake of the Isles Wolves, 7-4, at The Den. The Defenders got a fine performance from first baseman Hirofumi Rin, who captured player of the game honors. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. George Fortin earned the save for West Coast, his 19th. The 5th-place Defenders lifted their record to 44-53.
Rin in the top of the first had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Defenders leading 1-0, he hit a 3-run home run.
"There's still time to turn this season around," said Rin.
