Shamrocks Get Win, Extend Streak to 5

The Pacifica Shamrocks knocked off the Newark Jail Birds, 10-5, at McCormick Field. Justin Dixon, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Pacifica won. The designated hitter went 4-5 with 4 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Iván Rea was the winner. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 1 run on 3 hits, with 2 walks and 8 strikeouts. Paul Calamy was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 26 of 31 save opportunities.
One of the key players for the Shamrocks was left fielder Nathan Sewell, who drilled a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth inning. For the game, Sewell was 1-3 with a walk.
