Victory Over Hellcats Takes Silicon Valley to 61-38
|
The Jacksonville Hellcats got a superb performance from pitcher Baden Thwaites. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Silicon Valley. The Hackers won the game, 6-3. In spite of the loss, Thwaites was named the player of the game. He came in in relief and pitched to 11 batters . The winner was Raghavachary Minakshi in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Jim Unknown took the loss. Kirk Redman closed it out for his 11th save.
Scott Stone gave Silicon Valley a good at-bat in the top of the first inning. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to help send Silicon Valley to the win.
In comments to the Silicon Valley Daily, Stone admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
The Hackers have an impressive 61-38 record.
