Silicon Valley starter Samuel Keeble put a stranglehold on the Lake of the Isles offense. The right-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the Hackers to a 8-1 win. The winning pitcher was Keeble, now 11-5. He tossed 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. Momoru Yamashita locked down his 1st save.
Takafumi Ueno did his part for the Hackers, producing a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth inning. For the game, the shortstop went 1-4 with a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
"I thought we played a nice game," Ueno told the Silicon Valley Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
The third-place Hackers lifted their record to 59-36.
