Black Knights Rally For Late Win Over Defenders
West Coast first baseman Keith Reese had a terrific game. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Killeen beat the Defenders, 7-6. Reese was named the player of the game despite the loss. Armando Hernández got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Killeen now sits at 28-67, while West Coast falls to 42-53.

Had it not been for Jim Unknown, the results might have been different. In the top of the eighth inning, when the Black Knights were trailing 6-5, Unknown hit a 2-run home run for Killeen, giving his team the lead.

"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Unknown told the Killeen Bulletin.
