Shamrocks Get 8-4 Win Versus Sioux Falls
Sioux Falls third baseman Zhi-gang Ou-yang had a terrific game. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Pacifica beat the Trojans, 8-4. Ou-yang was named the player of the game despite the loss. Carlos Martínez, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. The Shamrocks raised their record to 57-34.

Afellan Kalamka's at-bat in the top of the sixth was significant for the Shamrocks. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Pacifica leading 4-3, the first baseman hit a 2-run double.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Kalamka told the Pacifica Daily News. "It's as simple as that."
