Hackers Raise Rally Flag, Beat Killeen, 7-6
|
The Silicon Valley Hackers eked out a 7-6 win versus the Killeen Black Knights at The Bird Stadium. Nobody did more than catcher Reece Wager, who captured player of the game honors. Kichibei Kobayashi got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. Silicon Valley now owns a record of 57-35.
With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the top of the seventh inning, left fielder Rhys Wallace delivered big for the Hackers. Silicon Valley was trailing 6-3 when he belted a 3-run home run.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Wallace, "but we got it done."
