Silicon Valley used a superb performance from starting pitcher Todd Anderson to down the Killeen Black Knights, 4-1. Kirk Redman earned the save, his 9th, for the Hackers. Silicon Valley is now 56-35, Killeen 27-64.
Horiuchi Sugiyama's at-bat in the top of the fourth inning was a big one for Silicon Valley. Coming to bat with no one out, a runner on 1st and Silicon Valley trailing 1-0, the second baseman hit a run-scoring single.
Sugiyama attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
