Trojans Take Close Win Over Wolves
Sioux Falls right-hander Alain Picard made an effective start against the Lake of the Isles Wolves at The Den, leading his team to a 5-4 win. Joël Barbier picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-1. Bill Lacy was tagged with the loss. Sioux Falls, at 44-45, sits in third place in the Alexander Cartwright League Bernie Brewer Division.

Marty Gale had the most critical at-bat for Sioux Falls. With one in the top of the ninth inning, Gale hit a 0-1 fastball from Bill Lacy for a 2-run triple. It put Sioux Falls in front, 4-3.

"Both teams played hard," said Sioux Falls manager Barry Miller.
