The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats met little resistance from the Pacifica Shamrocks, beating them 11-1 at McCormick Field. Jon Miron led the way. He went 2 for 3 with a triple and 3 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Buzzard's Bay. José Barrachina earned the win for Buzzard's Bay. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 6 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 8-4. Sergio Marino got the save, the 1st for him this season.

Tied up with the Shamrocks in the top of the fourth, the Beetlecats got a boost from shortstop Bill Hinkle. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Hinkle saw a full count fastball from Pat Bertram and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Buzzard's Bay on top, 2-1.

Pacifica manager Joe Leftwich called the blowout loss "just something that happens from time to time."

The Beetlecats own a robust 56-31 mark.
