Ducks Get Win, Extend Streak to 5
|
With center fielder Byung-ki Chong leading the charge, the Wisconsin Dells Ducks defeated the Silicon Valley Hackers, 7-4, at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Chong was 2 for 2 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The second-place Ducks have won 5 consecutive games.
Had Ambara Sudeshna not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Sudeshna hit a 2-run double. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Ducks.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Chong said.
