The Frisco Rams defeated the Newark Jail Birds, 18-6, at Cobras Ballpark. Frisco right fielder Gérard Lacroix was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 4 for 6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Ryan Jenkins was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 6 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. The 4th-place Rams now have a 6-game winning streak.

With the bases loaded and one out in the top of the fifth inning, designated hitter Carlos Rosário delivered big for the Rams. Frisco was leading 7-2 when he belted a grand slam home run.
