Enforcers Win at West Coast, 7-2
|
The Atlantic City Enforcers dealt the West Coast Defenders a 7-2 loss at North Shore Park. Masujiro Hayagawa was the star on offense. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Atlantic City is 6th in the Alexander Cartwright League Bernie Brewer Division with a record of 28-60.
Hayagawa contributed when he hit a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh. Coming with two outs and runners on 1st and 2nd, the home run proved to be critical to helping Atlantic City get the win.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Atlantic City Enforcers manager Warren Barnes. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
