Waller, Sasquatch Too Much for Texans
|
In a high-scoring game between Seattle and Dallas, shortstop Martin Waller was a difference-maker. The 31-year-old earned player of the game honors in the 10-8 Seattle win. He was 4-5 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 4 times and drove in 2. The save was credited to Greg Ward, his 1st. The Sasquatch, with only their 1st win in 4 games, have not had much to write home about in 2028.
Seattle third baseman Kazuyoshi Takahashi helped the Sasquatch to the win. In the bottom of the second inning, the 24-year old third baseman stroked a 2-run home run. For the game, Takahashi went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Waller, "but we got it done."
