Hayagawa Sizzles -- Smokes Defenders for 5 Hits
Masujiro Hayagawa got the glory and the headlines today, but the West Coast Defenders left with the win. The Atlantic City right fielder easily handled the Defenders pitching, going 5-for-5, but his Atlantic City Enforcers came out on the short end of the 11-5 score .

Hayagawa told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win.

"Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end."

Masujiro Hayagawa singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off William Kramer in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Looking at his stats this year, Hayagawa has compiled a .293 batting average, while hitting 15 home runs and driving in 61 runs. He has played in 82 games and scored 52 runs.
