Quincy Moss pitched a good game, but his team, the Killeen Black Knights, still dropped a 2-1 decision to the Lake of the Isles Wolves at The Bird Stadium. The win was credited to Shojiro Nakayama in relief. His record improves to 7-2. Quincy Moss took the loss. Bill Lacy got credit for the save for Lake of the Isles. It was his 14th of the year.
Lake of the Isles catcher Juan Gómez gave his club a productive at-bat in the top of the second inning. With the bases loaded and the Wolves leading 1-0, Gómez drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"We did just enough to win," Gómez said.
The slumping Black Knights have lost 7 straight.
